Good Advice

I'm not the type of person to have inspirational quotes placed around my home, but my instagram, pinterest, and journal are full of cheesy words of advice. Here are a few favourites:

good advice on a floral background, what's not to love?

from Yes Please by Amy Poehler.
seems like a simple statement but very profound when you think about it.
if somebody sees something in you that they are drawn to, be their friend. make an effort to hang on to people who accept you and will support you. Don't be judgmental because nobody is perfect and if somebody accepts you how you are, you should do the same for them.

When I convocated university a mentor of mine gave me a tote bag with a variation of this saying, about students and it has always stuck with me. I want to be a positive force in somebody's life.

Sidewalk advice found in Calgary April 2014.

I saw this online and liked the simple phrasing of some complicated ideas.

I think about this all the time. I saw this on the Berlin Wall in July 2013.
"Many small people who in many small places do many small things that can alter the face of the world."
We can all make a difference.

What's your best advice?

Copying Pinterest Outfits 2: Summer Edition

To quote my first Pinterest Outfits post, "I love Pinterest for the lesson ideas and recipes I can find on there, but I also really enjoy looking at street style photos and fashion blogger's outfits and using them to inspire my own wardrobe. I try not to spend too much time pinning cute clothes I could never afford or obtain, and instead pin stuff that's similar to things I own, or outfits I could imitate the style of. I chose six outfits from my Pinterest and copied them using items I already had in my closet."
