Easy DIY Halloween Costumes for Women

Halloween is less than two weeks away so if you don't have a costume idea yet, don't worry, I'm here to help! All the costume suggestions below are perfect for if you are short on cash, feeling uncreative, or don't have any plans and something comes up at the last minute and you have to scrounge together a costume from items you already have in your closet. All of these costumes are DIY, easy and cheap, and all of them are awesome feminist ladies! What more could a girl want?

1. Rosie the Riveter
What you need: denim shirt, jeans, bandana, red lipstick

2. Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
What you need: an orange hoody, a wig or hair dye (blue, orange, or green), blue hand warmers (optional)

3. Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation
What you need: business clothes: blouse, skirt or dress pants, suit jacket, blonde hair
Bonus: carry around a waffle (real or fake) for added authenticity.

4. Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's
You have a couple options here. Look #1: glamorous. Look #2: pajamas

What you need for Look #1: black dress, black gloves, tiara, statement necklace. accessorize with a cigarette holder, or with sunglasses and croissant (optional)

What you need for Look #2: eye mask, mens' white dress shirt, cat (optional)

5. Wednesday Adams from The Addams Family
What you need: white collar, long-sleeved dark dress, or sweater and skirt, two braids (helps if you have long, dark hair already)

6. Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers
What you need: light blue t-shirt, darker blue skirt, gym socks, high tops, black glasses, yellow barrette, a black bob with bangs (wig or your real hair)

7. any of the ladies from Orange Is the New Black
What you need: (depends on the character you want to be). orange or tan scrubs, a grey zip-up hoodie, and grey or white long-sleeved undershirt will complete most of the looks.
Some characters have signature accessories like Alex's black glasses or Morello's red lipstick so it's up to you. 

I have never dressed up as any of these amazing ladies but I love all of the ideas so I hope some of you use them! I have a different costume planned for this year, I'll post pics after Halloween!
